Marieke Giebels

Marieke Giebels graduated as an actress (BA) at the Maastricht Academy of Theatre in the Netherlands. Since then, she has worked for several Dutch theater companies, such as The National Theatre and Theatre Rotterdam, and she has acted in several movies and series. She has her own theater company (Mount Lucy) with which she has made various productions. In addition, she has been working as a teacher and advisor in leadership programs ever since she graduated. In 2017, Marieke started her Alba practice with Nancy Loitz. Ever since, she has been training and co-teaching with Nancy in Amsterdam (NL), as well as in Bloomington (USA), before eventually starting to teach on her own. Since 2019, she has been working on a permanent basis as a Teacher at the Amsterdam Academy of Theatre and Dance. Since 2020, she has been teaching at the Maastricht Academy of Theatre. She teaches professional actors, she uses the Alba Method in several leadership programs, and she works with people who suffer from anxiety. Since 2024, she has also been working as an acting coach in feature films. Marieke has a studio in Amsterdam, where she teaches individuals, as well as groups.
