ALBA METHOD ASSOCIATION

Daniel Lendzian, an assistant professor at Fredonia State University and Acting Area Coordinator, is a versatile theater professional with over two decades of experience in both classical and contemporary theater. He began his journey with the Alba Technique under Ms. Angelin in 2022, entered the teaching track in 2023, and was certified in October 2025.
His teaching at SUNY Fredonia covers various disciplines, marries classical and contemporary techniques, and emphasizes creativity and original works. His performance career includes collaborations with theater companies, including Irish Classical Theater Company, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, Starring Buffalo, Parallel 45, NACL, The ZACH Theater, The Seattle Children’s Theater, Second Gen Theatre, Farm Arts Collective, The Shakespeare Theater of NJ, The Winnipesaukee Playhouse, O’Connell & Company, Interlochen Shakespeare, and The Weathervane Repertory Theatre.
Dan directed the world premiere of Burst (published by Dramatic Publishing), The Mazumdar Award-winning Black Bear Island, and The Folks at Home for at Alleyway Theatre in Buffalo, where he is a resident artist. He directed the second professional production of KHAN!!! The Musical! A Parody Trek-Tacular at the Smith Theater. His adaptation of A Christmas Carol will premiere at Alleyway Theater in 2025. He devised youth musicals UGLY and ALICE for Parallel 45.
He has taught at Interlochen Arts Camp, PLAY Theater, Sitka Fine Arts Camp, UT Austin, SUNY Sullivan, and Kean University. He is a certified Pilates instructor, completed the teacher training curriculum for MICHA, and holds an MFA from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the National Alliance of Acting Teachers and hosts Buffalo Rising's WNY Soundstage podcast.
