Elizabeth Ann Townsend is a professional actor and member of AEA and SAG/AFTRA. Townsend has received two best supporting actress awards from critics in St. Louis, Missouri and Houston, Texas. The one-woman performance piece Townsend wrote and performs, COUNT TIME! The Life and Times of Patricia Prewitt, won best production in the 2016 St. Lou Fringe Festival. She continues to tour the play throughout the USA.

In 2011, she organized the Alba Emoting Conference: Advanced Workshop and Seminar led by Susana Bloch in Chile where she received her Certification Level 5.

Townsend serves on the Board of Alba Method Association. She holds a MFA in Theatre Arts from Kent State University. Publications include her published thesis: THE MIND AND BODY CONNECTION: ALBA EMOTING AND MICHAEL CHEKHOV TECHNIQUE. Townsend’s essay on Alba Emoting appears in the English language revision of Susana Bloch’s book, (which she co-edited with Patricia Angelin, 2015) entitled, “Alba Emoting: A scientific method for emotional induction” available for e-readers and in print (2016). Currently, Elizabeth Townsend resides in St. Louis, Missouri, USA where she continues to act and teach the Alba Method
