ALBA METHOD ASSOCIATION
Jessica Beck, PhD, is a theatre director and somatic practitioner based in London. Jessica studied Alba Method with Susana Bloch, Roxanne Rix, Laura Bond, Nancy Loitz and Rocco Dal Vera while working on her a PhD in performance practice from the University of Exeter. Her thesis entitled “Directing Emotion: A Practice-based Investigation into the Challenge of Emotion in Western Performance” was supervised by Professor Phillip Zarrilli. In 2015, Jessica completed the London Feldenkrais Professional Training Programme taught by Elizabeth Beringer, and is a member of the UK Feldenkrais Guild. Jessica is an Alba CL5 and regularly teaches workshops in the UK and US.
