Roxane Rix is the senior instructor of Alba Emoting (Alba Method) in the US.  After studying with Susana Bloch in Chile in 1993, Roxane became the first in the American theatre community to publish academic articles about the work and to be certified as an instructor.  Along with colleague (and roommate in Chile) Nancy Loitz, Roxane organized and led workshops and training sessions, and founded Alba Emoting North America to promote and protect the work.  Roxane initiated and maintained the web sites albaemoting.org, albaemotingna.org, and albaemoting.com (later transferred to Bloch), helped to formulate the first Certification Levels, and developed pedagogical tools and descriptive vocabulary still used by Alba teachers and practitioners. An Associate Professor Emerita from Kutztown University, Roxane retired in 2016 after 30 years of teaching.  She holds an MFA in Directing from the University of Minnesota, a Certificate in Acting and Directing from Sonia Moore’s American Stanislavski Theatre, and a CL5 in Alba Emoting,
